AFTER NINE

This script is titled AFTER NINE, it is a Horror/ Comedy short currently in development with my co-director and co-writer. The story follows the misadventures of a group of elementary school-aged children and their teenage babysitter as they fight to survive the night against an evil entity posing as their beloved teacher. The project does not yet have a release or filming date as we actively work to pool our resources.

LOGLINE: When a group of unsuspecting youth unknowingly invite an ancient evil entity into their home, they must figure out how to survive until the morning.

SEER

This short script was completed as part of the 54 Film Festival in Nashville, TN. We were challenged to write a superhero-themed story and decided to take a unique, lesser-explored approach to the concept. We wrote, shot, and edited the entire short within the span of a week. It follows the story of a social media influencer plagued by visions of the evil intentions that people hide from the surface world, which launches an exploration into whether or not he is responsible for some alleged heinous acts. Dark, gritty, and thought-provoking perfectly describe this script.

LOGLINE: A social media influencer blessed…or cursed…with the ability to “see” man’s true intentions becomes the main culprit of a dangerous conspiracy. Divine justice or deranged lunatic? You will see for yourself.

BEYOND THE EDGE OF OUR UNDERSTANDING

This script was a proof of concept short script entered into a grant competition for RED/ Nikon. Although it was ultimately not selected, the idea itself remains a vaulted feature film concept that may be expanded upon in the near future. It is a Sci-Fi/ Comedy/ Romance genre-blend that follows the story of a Hollywood power couple with an astronomical secret. The wife, Kat, is a runaway alien princess that has been secretly living among humanity in plain sight for decades. After studying humanity for some time, she decides to take up acting and ends up meeting and falling in love with her husband, Derek. The two are inseparable and life is going great…until part of Kat’s former life on the Planet Xylon comes calling her back. Emotional, raw, funny, and futuristic; this script is a fresh take on a genre that thrives on innovation and pushing creative boundaries.

LOGLINE: Beyond the Edge of Our Understanding is an exhilarating Sci-fi/Rom-com that follows the lives of Kat and her husband Derek as they navigate the challenges of fame, success, their marriage and protecting her secret of being an alien princess in disguise…until homes calls for her.
